Tumbled Moonstone

Moonstone, a type of feldspar, has a distinctive bluish white shimmer and sheen. Light falls between the alternating layers of albite and orthoclases and is refracted, causing it to scatter in a phenomenon called adularescence. It is this gorgeous dance of light billowing just beneath the surface that has made moonstone one of the most remarkable gemstones today.
