Quartz is one of the most abundant minerals on Earth. It has a hard, glassy surface and occurs in many shapes including clusters, single points, or solid masses. It also comes in many colors, some of which are considered semi-precious gemstones. Quartz generates an electrical charge and has many scientific, industrial, and metaphysical uses. Frozen quartz is also referred to as ‘clear quartz’, ’pure quartz’, or ‘rock crystal’.
